B1 Polish exam: dates in 2027 and how to register

As of 26 October 2026

In 2027, the certificate exam in Polish will take place in five sessions: 6-7 February, 10-11 April, 12-13 June, 2-3 October and 27-28 November. B1 for adults is offered in every session. You do not register with the Państwowa Komisja (State Commission), but directly with the exam centre you choose.

Session dates in 2027

The dates were announced in July 2026 by the Państwowa Komisja do spraw Poświadczania Znajomości Języka Polskiego jako Obcego (State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language). Each session lasts two days and falls on a Saturday and Sunday.

The last session in 2026

There is one more session before the end of 2026: 5-6 December 2026. It covers B1 for adults and B2 for children and teenagers.

The list of exam centres for this session is already published on certyfikatpolski.pl (dated 5 October 2026). Each centre sets its own registration deadline, so if you are thinking about December, check as soon as possible where registration is still open.

How to register step by step

  1. Wait for the list of exam centres for the session you want. The Commission publishes it about two months before the exam.
  2. Choose a centre from the list that runs the B1 exam for adults in that session, ideally in a city that is convenient for you.
  3. Go to that centre's website and register within the time the centre gives there.
  4. Pay the exam fee into the bank account of the centre where you registered. You will find the payment details and the payment deadline on its website.

Registration at the centres usually opens when the list is published, so about two months before the exam. For the February 2027 session, registration will therefore open at about the beginning of December 2026. That is why it is a good idea to check the centre's website as soon as the list is published.

Documents and fee

The Commission's website does not have one common list of documents for registration. You register on the centre's website, so check there which details and documents you need, and read the centre's rules.

Bring an identity document with a photo to the exam itself. You show it when you enter the room, and the chair of the exam board checks the candidates' identity before the exam starts.

The centre sets the fee, but within a legal limit. For the 5-6 December 2026 session, the limit for adults at B1 level is the equivalent of EUR 150. From 1 January 2027, the limit is 7% of the average wage in the third quarter of 2026, as announced by the President of GUS (Statistics Poland), and it is set in złoty, not euros. We do not give an exact amount for 2027, because it depends on that announcement and on the centre - check it on the centre's website before you pay. From 2027, you also pay PLN 100 for the certificate after you pass.

Where to find the list of exam centres

certyfikatpolski.pl publishes the lists of centres in the “Aktualności” (News) section, separately for each session. The session date is in the title of the post, and the list itself is a PDF file.

On the same website, in the “Komunikaty” (Announcements) section (certyfikatpolski.pl/category/komunikat/), you will find information about centres that have withdrawn from a session. It is worth checking there after you register, and once more before the exam.

If you have questions, you can call the Commission's office on +48 22 390 35 37: on Mondays from 13:00 to 15:00, and from Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 to 11:00. For questions about your registration and fee, contact your exam centre.

About two months pass between the publication of the list and the exam. This is a good time to take a timed mock exam a few times, for example in the B1 bez stresu app.

Dates and rules as of 25 October 2026. Before you register, check the latest information on certyfikatpolski.pl and on the website of the centre you choose.
